Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a highly acclaimed American actor known for his commanding screen presence and ability to portray complex, morally ambiguous characters. Born on April 22, 1966, in Seattle, Washington, Morgan initially pursued a career in basketball before transitioning to acting. He spent years working in television with guest spots on various shows before achieving a major breakthrough in 2005 with three simultaneous recurring roles: patient Denny Duquette on Grey’s Anatomy, patriarch John Winchester on Supernatural, and Judah Botwin on Weeds. These roles skyrocketed his popularity and established him as a versatile talent. Morgan’s career reached new heights when he was cast as the ruthless yet charismatic antagonist Negan in the massive AMC hit series The Walking Dead (2016–2022), a role he continues to play in the spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead City.
