Gayathrie Shankar is a talented Indian actress who has established a strong presence primarily in Tamil cinema. Born and raised in Bangalore, she made her acting debut with the psychological thriller “18 Vayasu” in 2012. However, it was her second film released the same year, the highly successful dark comedy “Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom” opposite Vijay Sethupathi, that brought her widespread recognition and appreciation. This early success paved the way for a steady career in Kollywood, where she is known for her natural acting style and thoughtful script choices.

Over the years, Gayathrie has been a part of several notable and critically acclaimed projects. She reunited with Vijay Sethupathi for “Puriyatha Puthir” and the highly praised “Super Deluxe” (2019), where her performance as a transgender woman’s wife was particularly noted.
