Jobanpreet Singh, popularly known as Joban, is a rising Indian actor, writer, and producer predominantly active in Punjabi cinema. Born on April 20 in Ludhiana, Punjab, he hails from a Sikh Jatt family with a strong literary background, which fueled his early passion for storytelling. Initially, he served as an officer in the Punjab Police after joining in 2010, but his dedication to cinema eventually led him to pursue acting full-time. He began his career with supporting roles in notable Hindi films like “Sarbjit” and gained valuable behind-the-scenes experience working as an Assistant Production Manager on Aamir Khan’s “Dangal.” He made a significant impact in Punjabi cinema with his lead debut in the 2019 film “Saak,” earning a nomination for Best Debut Actor. In 2024, he further showcased his multifaceted talent by writing, producing, and starring in the critically acclaimed film “Jahankilla,” a project inspired by his own police training experiences.
