Shreya Ghoshal: Overview

Shreya Ghoshal, born 12 March 1984 in Berhampore, West Bengal, is an Indian playback singer celebrated for her clear, melodious voice and strong grounding in Hindustani classical music. Trained in classical traditions from childhood, she first gained public attention after winning the television reality show Sa Re Ga Ma at a young age.

Her playback career began in Hindi cinema in 2002 with the film Devdas, which brought her both critical acclaim and wider recognition.
